The cooperation of the pan-Nordic CWR project includes partners from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and Åland, and an important aim has been to facilitate cooperation and synergies among the countries. There has been a wide range of activities within the project, including climate change modelling, analysis of genetic diversity, inventory of CWR in protected areas, and seed collection for conservation in gene banks. The results from these activities feed into recommendations regarding conservation and sustainable use of CWR in the Nordic region.
Based on the themes of the CWR project, six webinars will take place during 23 October to 4 December 2024. Below you can find the recordings from the webinar series entitled "How can local biodiversity contribute to global food security? – Conservation and use of wild species in the age of climate change."
