International Advisory Panel
Every other year, the International Advisory Panel (IAP) to Svalbard Global Seed Vault is gathered for a meeting. The panel members represent genebanks, plant breeders, state officials and others in the field of plant genetic resources.
The IAP’s mission is to provide advice and recommendations regarding the operations of the Seed Vault to the three partner organizations; NordGen, Crop Trust and the Norwegian Ministry of Agriculture and Food. They also provide transparency for depositors and others interested in the Seed Vault.
The members of the IAP are appointed for one meeting at a time. The last meeting was arranged in Svalbard in February 2025.
