she went to Germany and learnt more about forest plant propagation with alternative methods. Now, you have the chance to do something similar. Apply for a forest scholarship before the 15th of February.

  Usually, a tree starts growing after a seed is planted. But as Johanna Carlsson was granted her NordGen Forest/SNS scholarship, she went to Germany to learn more about how to grow trees in a laboratory.

The scholarship seeks to encourage education and knowledge exchange within forest genetics, seed access and rejuvenation of forests. The grant can be used for travel expenses but also to cover costs related to essays at bachelor- or masterlevel, equipment, laboratory and print expenses. The activity must be relevant in a Nordic context and contribute to Nordic benefit. A total sum of 100 000 NOK is to be distributed every year but each applicant can be granted a maximum of 20 000 NOK.
