Sisuradio, the finnish speaking section of the national broadcaster Swedish Radio, has visited us at NordGen to talk about the importance of genetic diversity in a future with climate change.

At NordGen in Alnarp we preserve about 70 different kinds of potatoes at our in vitro-laboratory. We, in other words, do not use seeds to procreate potatoes, but live matter. This is due to the fact that potatoe seeds don't carry all the genes of their parents. 14 of the potatoe kinds preserved originate from Finland. While at NordGen, Sisuradio, interviewed Pawel Chrominski, in vitro-lab responsible, Ulrika Carlson-Nilsson, Senior Scientist and Anne Kettunen, Senior Scientist.
